Born in 1965, Sidney Stucki is a DJ since 1993 and a producer since 1995. In the early 90’s he promoted Geneva’s underground Technoview parties with guests from Sähkö Records (Finland) and others. Sid has DJed the world over, in Australia, Taiwan, Brazil, the U.S., France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland.

He produced most of the early Mental Groove Records catalogue, being among the few electronic music artists in the area. He has released over 20 records, starting with minimal & experimental techno as well as electronic listening, for soundtracks and installations in the contemporary art domain (in New York, Sao Paolo, Germany & Switzerland). His music has evolved over time, bringing in elements of house, electro, disco or Japanese influences; generally dancefloor-oriented, Sid’s production and live sets are both highly effective and forward-thinking.

Sid has continuously collaborated with people from both the art and music scene, such as Sylvie Fleury, Fabrice Gygi, Fabio Jaramillo, Jean-Michel Wicker, Vydia Gastaldon, Selfish In Bed & Miss Kittin. He enjoys a worldwide reputation as a plastic artist, with dozens of exhibitions, installations and performances in numerous countries.

He is an energetic and eclectic DJ with an explosive mixing style, blending techno & house tracks with electro and provoking the unexpected. His live laptop sets keep a lot of improvisation open, fusing techno and latin elements in a very dancefloor-effective and refreshing way. Sid also performs live as Cristal, with Colombian artist & salsa DJ Fabio MCing.
